
Partnered with Nitze-Stagen/Daniels Real Estate to successfully complete nearly 100 projects. Work ranged from minor improvements and major seismic retrofits (in 1995 and 2003 within fully occupied spaces), to the conversion of a warehouse to a parking garage, creation of a conference center, and construction of a new, eight-level parking garage.
Developed advanced analysis techniques for the efficient retrofit of Starbuck Coffee Company’s distinctive world headquarters.
Crafted cost-effective and creative engineering solutions within the mixed-use facility to accommodate new technology and programming needs of multiple tenants.


Honored the owner’s sustainable vision, as Starbucks Center is the largest existing building to achieve LEED Gold. The original heavy timber and reinforced concrete structures were preserved in the initial renovation by using regional materials, including more than 100,000 pounds of wood repurposed from a nearby dock.
Continue to serve as a part of the project team, executing multiple projects each year and supporting the Starbucks Center as it evolves.
