The regional center houses 30 exam rooms providing clinic space, laboratories, X-ray, ultrasound, pharmacy, and rehab therapy functions. Custom, perforated metal panels create a new entry façade and cover the existing concrete tilt-up panels. A glass wall was added to increase daylight access, and a colorful rain canopy greets and protects staff and patients.
Lean/integrated design principles and a collective emphasis on collaboration helped the hospital save $400,000 in construction, which was allocated for medical equipment purchases.
