Contributed design alternatives and cost-effective solutions through multiple phases and construction delivery methods (design-bid-build for Sealth and GC/CM for Denny) as the team successfully delivered the district’s vision for this span school.

Designed elements of the renovation, including seismic upgrades with exterior shotcrete shear walls, to blend with the existing high school architecture.

Enhanced the sense of community between the student bodies with The Galleria, a large commons area at the heart of campus that features a vaulted ceiling and glass curtain wall system to daylight the space. No detail was too small for the design team: Rainwater flows from the butterfly roof of The Galleria to rain gardens and water features.

Embraced low-impact development with drought-tolerant landscaping, a 30,000-square-foot green roof, and multiple rain gardens to treat and mitigate stormwater before it enters nearby Longfellow Creek.

Conducted an extensive utility analysis to determine the condition of the existing systems, then integrated existing with new components, resulting in a comprehensive, cost-effective approach for phased site development.
