Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Coughlin Porter Lundeen is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion. Internally, equity takes the form of training and mentorship efforts and identifying multiple channels through which we support women and underrepresented minorities in engineering.
Appreciating the importance of inclusion, we acknowledge that the collective individual talents, skills, and perspectives of a diverse staff foster a culture of belonging, collaborative practice, innovation, and mutual respect that leads to a deeper relationship with our clients, our projects, and our community.
We understand that this transformative and concerted change toward social equity takes time. Empathy, engagement, and courage are paramount to drive change within ourselves, our workplace, and our community. We are committed to continually improve and provide pathways to expand firm leadership and ownership to reflect our diverse staff.
The firm supports and sponsors involvement in professional organizations that promote diversity and provide STEM mentoring for PreK-12 students to gain access and opportunities to learn more about the engineering community. We’re also active in associations that increase awareness, engagement, and equity in our industry.

For the past five years, Coughlin Porter Lundeen has been recognized by ACEC Washington for our programs to advance diversity and inclusion within our firm and the AEC industry. Thirty-seven percent of our engineers are women, far above the national average.
