Your Greatness Is What You Give

“Your greatness is not what you have, it’s what you give.” – Alice Hocker

Each year, the Puget Sound Business Journal recognizes the top corporate philanthropists in Washington State for their dedication to service. We are honored to once again be included on this list. Along with 77 other honorees, we’ve given more than $156.49M in cash donations, donated 1.2 million volunteer hours, and given cash, in-kind gifts, sponsorships, and more, totaling a whopping $247M in Washington State for 2017. As a mid-sized firm, we are incredibly proud of the impact that our employees and our company have on the surrounding community. Here’s to even more service in 2018!

Obliteride and Bike MS

One of our favorite ways to make a difference is on the seat of a bicycle. Our biggest summer riding events: Fred Hutch’s Obliteride and Bike MS. Both organizations host weekend-long rides that drive medical research (cancer and Multiple Sclerosis, respectively) forward. This year, we joined Obliteride for a record-breaking year and took on the Deception Pass Classic course with Team GLY. Read more about the rides here.

YWCA Mother’s Day Gift Basket Drive

YWCA is a national organization that aims to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. They take care of moms all year long, so this Mother’s Day, we shared the love, preparing 29 baskets for their basket drive. Full of goodies like lotions, scented candles, nail polish, lipstick, planners, and unsigned Mother’s Day greeting cards, the baskets support YWCA and help make every mom feel remembered and special. Learn more about the basket drive here.
