Hailing from New Zealand, William appreciates the importance of an engineer’s role in ensuring the safety of the public after the 2011 Christchurch earthquake. The infamous disaster renewed the country’s commitment to designing structures to be self-righting or include simple fixes to return them to a usable state after an earthquake. With this experience, as well as his proficiency in structural steel, concrete, and mass timber, William strives to create adaptable spaces, designed to enrich the lives of all who experience them.
