Ben Barlow

P.E., S.E.
Structural Associate Principal

As a kid, Ben’s dad, a contractor, would take him on jobsites to watch the equipment and construction activity (something that kept him entertained for hours!). All grown up, today he’s a tremendous project manager and mentor. His ability to simplify complex projects and guide the coordination between architecture and structure is an asset to his project teams.

A natural leader and teacher, his leadership has been on display on many fronts, from supporting our Structural BIM group to designing internal training programs. Thoughtful and approachable, he’s also a key player as the firm refines processes, improving how we leverage project management tools and manage weekly scheduling, long-term project tracking, and staffing plans.

He’s a great resource for younger staff, too. Passionate about his work and supporting younger engineers, he emphasizes the importance of collaboration and teamwork. It doesn’t come as a surprise that Ben’s favorite type of work involves K-12 and higher education.
