Alec’s inspiration for structural engineering and interest in CLT stems from his pre-design experience building small timber structures, such as cabins, garages, car covers, and decks. He is a tinkerer, interested in anything with an engine and dissecting all the little pieces which make something “go”.  Alec’s practical way of thinking and ability to see the big picture allows him to approach problems at new angles and find interesting solutions.
