Description

We’re hiring a Marketing Creative and Technical Writer who will primarily assist the marketing team and pursuit leaders in crafting content for qualifications statements and client interviews. This person will also write for a variety of platforms (biannual client newsletters, articles for local publications, press releases, website content, social media, recruitment efforts and more) that lead to measurable outcomes.

This person will help develop name recognition and thought leadership content. They will use SMEs to share their expertise in website, blogs, social media content, case studies, bylined articles, project awards, speaking opportunities, advertisements, and more. They will assist the marketing team with various deadlines and deliverables and provide proofreading of marketing deliverables.

This person will report to the Marketing Manager. This full-time, hybrid working position requires regularly-scheduled time Monday through Friday in our downtown Seattle office. Additional time may be required to assist with deadlines.

Strengths and Essential Experience

  • Handles multiple responsibilities and/or assignments and adapts with ease in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently.
  • Bachelors degree in English, communications, marketing, journalism, or equivalent.
  • Has 5 or more years of experience working in a highly technical business, preferably in an engineering, construction, architecture or science company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams programs, Adobe InDesign, and CRM systems.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify strategies, solutions, and resources to align short-term projects with long-term business goals.
  • Prepared to share representative portfolio of work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the A/E/C industry.
  • Proficiency with online CMS programs (such as WordPress).
  • AMA or CPSM certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a computer, keying and reading content.
  • Will be required to stand, reach, bend, twist, squat, and move about freely in an office environment.
  • Able to use office equipment such as phone, copier, printer, etc.
